Senior Silicon Photonics Test Development Engineer
What you will do
Test Development & Technical Leadership
- Own the development of advanced test methodologies for silicon photonic devices, PICs, and heterogeneous electrooptic components—from concept to full deployment.
- Define and architect test flows for waferlevel, dielevel, and packagelevel characterization.
- Design, commission, and optimize complex test setups integrating RF, optical, and automated instrumentation.
- Develop/lead the Pythonbased measurement frameworks and automation tools to increase throughput, reliability, and data quality.
- Introduce new measurement techniques (e.g., broadband EO Sparameters, highspeed modulation tests, optical link characterization) as required by emerging technology needs.
- Review and validate test strategies with internal design, device, and process teams.
- Plan and prioritize test development activities across multiple PIC technology platforms and R&D projects.
- Drive standardization of test procedures, calibration flows, and documentation across the photonics test environment.
- Monitor test quality, reliability, and reproducibility, ensuring compliance with internal performance targets.
- Work closely with design, device modelling, integration, packaging, and reliability teams to translate test insights into device and process improvements.
- Communicate complex test results and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Develop robust dataprocessing pipelines for highvolume test data.
- Analyse electrooptic, RF, and optical test results to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement paths.
- Summarize findings in clear technical reports and presentations.
