The assignment

The ICT department at imec supports IC-Link in turning innovative chip designs into reality for a wide range of industrial and research partners. To improve customer experience and drive operational excellence, we are implementing a unified customer portal that enables smooth interactions and transactions throughout the entire customer and ASIC project lifecycle. As we continue to grow and scale our operations, we are looking for a dynamic professional to take on a dual role that bridges agile team facilitation and strategic portfolio oversight. This unique position combines the hands-on guidance of a Scrum Master with the high-level coordination of a Portfolio Manager, you’ll help our teams deliver efficiently while keeping our project portfolio aligned with strategic goals. As our Scrum Master & Portfolio Manager, you will play a dual role at the intersection of agile delivery and strategic portfolio oversight.

You will:

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure the scrum teams follow agile principles and best practices.
  • Coach teams on self-organization, continuous improvement, and delivery focus.
  • Remove impediments that block progress and promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and support alignment across multiple initiatives.
  • Drive the 12+ month product strategy and oversee portfolio management to ensure strategic alignment and effective prioritization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the wider development team to align delivery outcomes
  • Track and report on portfolio performance, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide transparency through dashboards, reporting, and proactive communication. 

Required knowledge and skills

You are a strategic thinker and servant leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

You bring:

  • Experience in portfolio or program management in a technology or product-driven environment.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, with a solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and agile delivery principles
  • The ability to translate between operational delivery and executive-level reporting.
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to facilitate, coach and build trusted relationships.
  • Experience in coordinating delivery across internal teams as well as external partners.
  • A proactive mindset, with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent English communication skills. Dutch is a nice-to-have.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (particularly SharePoint and MS Teams) and Azure DevOps for Scrum planning.
