Oxide semiconductors are emerging as a key technology for next-generation electronics, enabling applications beyond the limits of conventional silicon. Among them, Indium-Gallium-Zinc Oxide (IGZO) has become the leading material for high-performance thin-film transistors (TFTs), with applications ranging from advanced displays to BEOL logic integration and memory selector devices.
As part of imec's reliability team, you will contribute to the characterization, modeling, and fundamental understanding of the electrical reliability of IGZO TFTs for future logic and memory technologies. The role combines advanced electrical reliability characterization with physics-based modeling to identify the degradation mechanisms that limit long-term device performance.
You will develop and apply advanced measurement methodologies, evaluate experimental data, and build predictive reliability models to uncover the microscopic origin of device degradation. Working closely with process integration, device engineering, and atomistic modeling experts, you will translate these insights into material and process optimization strategies, helping to enable the deployment of oxide semiconductor technologies in future semiconductor products.
