As a Material Master Data Assistant (logistics), you play a key role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and governance of material master data across imec's operational ecosystem. Accurate master data is essential to support procurement, warehousing, inventory management, supply chain operations, and research activities.
You combine strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of business processes and data governance principles. Working closely with stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Facilities, Operations, and Laboratories, you ensure material data is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose throughout its lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and govern material master data in SAP, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with business standards.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for material master data processes, data structures, and governance principles.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Operations, Facilities, and Lab teams to collect, validate, and enrich material master data.
  • Support business projects, system implementations, and digitalization initiatives by delivering high-quality master data solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze data quality metrics, identify inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions to improve data reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of master data management processes, workflows, and governance practices.
  • Support SAP enhancements, testing activities, process optimization projects, and system rollouts.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, data standards, and reporting tools.
  • Leverage analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI to monitor data quality, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Serve as a key user and first point of contact for material master data-related questions and improvements.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Management, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent through experience.
  • Experience in master data management, supply chain processes, ERP systems, or data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP; knowledge of SAP EWM is a strong asset.
  • Understanding of material master data structures, business processes, and data quality principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for data accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, digitalization initiatives, or ERP implementation projects is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, enabling collaboration across multiple business functions.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
