Research & development - Leuven | Just now
You will join the AR2T department at imec in Leuven, where reliability, thermal, and mechanical characterization and modeling are developed for next-generation semiconductor technologies.
As part of a dedicated team specialized in logic device reliability, you will contribute to the reliability evaluation and physical understanding of imec's most advanced transistor technologies, including FinFETs, Gate-All-Around (GAA) nanosheet FETs, and CFETs. Your work will combine advanced experimental characterization with physics-based modeling to investigate the fundamental mechanisms that limit device reliability.
The role encompasses two closely connected activities. First, you will perform hands-on electrical reliability characterization using both established qualification methodologies and advanced characterization techniques to evaluate device lifetime and identify the underlying degradation mechanisms. Second, you will develop and apply physics-based degradation models to quantitatively interpret the experimental data, reveal the microscopic origin of device degradation, and provide insights that support process and material optimization for future reliable technology nodes.
We offer you the opportunity to join one of the world’s premier research centers in nanotechnology at its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. With your talent, passion and expertise, you’ll become part of a team that makes the impossible possible. Together, we shape the technology that will determine the society of tomorrow.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and proud of our open, multicultural, and informal working environment with ample possibilities to take initiative and show responsibility. We commit to supporting and guiding you in this process; not only with words but also with tangible actions. Through imec.academy, 'our corporate university', we actively invest in your development to further your technical and personal growth.
We are aware that your valuable contribution makes imec a top player in its field. Your energy and commitment are therefore appreciated by means of a market appropriate salary with many fringe benefits.
