What you will do

Imec is looking for a hands-on, proactive, dynamic, and well-organized Marketing Communication Professional to support our marketing team in taking the lead on marketing communication activities for the NanoIC Pilot line. This role is critical in driving brand visibility, networking, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders. 
The NanoIC pilot line, hosted by imec and deployed by the European Chips Act, offers low-barrier access to state-of-the-art equipment, and advanced semiconductor R&D. In your role as marcom officer, you will work together with colleagues from the communications team, with R&D and supporting teams across imec, and with external partners involved in the NanoIC project. You will execute the marcom strategy of the project to raise awareness and to position the NanoIC pilot line as a key enabler for innovation and collaboration within the European semiconductor ecosystem.  
This is a temporary position (6 months), with a possibility of extension, subject to project requirements. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Event Planning & Execution: 

  • Develop, maintain and manage NanoIC events calendar 
  • Oversee all aspects of event participation from initiation to completion, incl.  alignment with attending team, coordination of booth materials, booth logistics, and providing on-site support as needed representing NanoIC. 
  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships. 
  • Align w/ internal stakeholders and external partners on messaging, pre-event planning and post-event reports. 
  • Collaborate with copywriters and technical experts to develop presentations, collateral, and promotional content. 
  • Coordinate w/ social media team on pre/post-event communication 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external event organizers and partners. 

Coordinate execution of marketing campaigns for NanoIC offering: 

  • Develop targeted multi-channel campaigns (e-mail, social media, events & conferences, ...) in collaboration with content development to promote NanoIC offering.
  • Work with copywriters within team for tailored content development.
  • Drive execution, follow up and evaluation.

Who you are

  • A master’s degree in communications, marketing or related. 
  • Min. 4 years of marketing communication experience, preferably in an international B2B tech environment.  
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills. 
  • Team player & hands-on. Excellent communication skills and native level proficiency in English. 
  • Fluency with MS teams, office and Powerpoint.  

Location: imec HQ Leuven (Belgium), with the possibility to work from home for a maximum of 3 days a week.
