Imec is looking for a digital user adoption coach within the digital workplace team to further drive the user adoption across the organization, related to imec Teams & other Office 365 applications such as SharePoint, Planner, OneNote, OneDrive, ... Imec Teams is imec’s collaboration platform based on MS Teams technology, extended with specific apps such as the Home app (imec intranet), Action bot (push of corporate tasks), Search app (to search in different knowledge databases),... We have also built a security governance to protect our knowledge. The user adoption needs to focus also on these governance rules, so that the team owner knows very well how to set up the team workspaces in a secured way.

The assignment

Your role includes:

  • Support the imec digital workplace strategy by increasing the adoption of the digital workplace applications such as imec Teams, SharePoint, Planner, OneNote, security governance, …
  • Analyze the needs of the departments/teams and define an action plan to increase the adoption.
  • Give training about our digital workplace tools, not only imec wide but also to answer the needs of specific teams, departments, …
  • Create & optimize training content to the needs of the specific teams According to us, training is more than a ‘classical or online training’ on how to work with the tool. User adoption also includes supporting our culture of cross-team collaboration.
  • Support the digital workplace ambassador community: answering questions, organizing information sessions focused on new functionalities, …
  • Keep our digital workplace help portal up to date.
  • As part of the digital workplace ICT team, you help the team to follow up on the new Microsoft functionalities with an impact on the end-user and integrate them in the documentation, training, ….
  • You take care of the communication towards the organization in collaboration with the internal communication team.

Required knowledge and skills

We are looking for a highly motivated person with: 

  • Experience with Office 365 tools and especially with MS Teams & SharePoint, either in a similar role or as a trainer
  • MS Power Platform is a plus
  • Training skills, experience as a trainer / coach.
  • Experience in driving an ambassador community
  • Communication writing skills (with support of the internal communication team)
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences. The ability to be a digital workplace expert who can explain topics in such a way that people adopt the new way of working (motivating & stimulating people in an enthusiastic way).
  • Proficient use and knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

As a freelancer we offer a market-based daily rate. As a candidate, we offer a market conform wage and contracting through a third-party employment agency. 

Duration of the assignment and work regime

  • In anticipation of a permanent hiring, we start with a minimum of 6 months
  • Minimum 80% or fulltime
