What you will do

At imec, we are committed to making a positive impact on society through our cutting-edge research in nanoelectronics and digital technologies.  As we continue to grow internationally and enhance our compliance reporting, we are looking for an International Corporate Finance Manager to join our Corporate Finance team. 
In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to initiatives that support our global expansion. You’ll be part of a dynamic and innovative environment, working alongside world-class experts. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • International growth:  
    • Support the Corporate Finance department in establishing and launching new international entities.   
    • Contribute to the development of business cases and drafting of business plans, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across imec.    
    • Liaise with various finance teams to ensure alignment and transparency around financial plans and underlying assumptions. 
    • Coordinate with external partners (accountants, auditors, advisors, etc.) and internal stakeholders (accounting, business controlling, project accounting, etc.) to structure financial operations and ensure seamless financial processes. 
    • Maintain the financial overview of these new and growing entities in close collaboration with your finance colleagues. 
    • Ensure identification and adherence to both corporate and local financial compliance requirements. 
    • Actively participate in a task force to evaluate and improve the integration of new entities within the imec group, addressing evolving needs and requirements of both the local entities and the wider organization. 
  • State aid compliance reporting:   
    • Ensure full compliance with state aid regulations and associated reporting obligations. 
    • Perform internal reviews and analyses to monitor compliance. 
    • Provide training and ongoing support to colleagues on state aid requirements. 
    • Ensure a state aid-compliant set-up of new entities.  
  • Corporate Finance projects: 
    • Take ownership of and coordinate various Corporate Finance initiatives.

Who you are

  • Master’s degree in (applied) economics or equivalent experience. 
  • 6-10 years of relevant expertise  
  • Strong broad general financial knowledge and understanding of financial compliance and reporting, ideally including state aid regulations. 
  • Experience in supporting international expansion or setting up legal entities in foreign jurisdictions 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing projects across departments and/or countries 
  • Team player 
  • Keen on learning 
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English. 
  • Analytical, stress-resistant, and tech-savvy.
