Technical Account Manager

What you will do

Your work is at the cross-roads of advanced R&D, project execution and partner interface with a special focus on the coordination of projects across multiple Programs/expertise for imec Partners. You will be responsible to follow-up upon the execution and coordinate of projects focusing on silicon technology development in a variety of subjects such as Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) and System Technology Co-Optimization (STCO), as well as Advanced Logic devices and Novel Memory devices, among others. You will be the technical representative in the interactions with the industry partners, and you will also interface with the technical imec R&D Managers and Directors to ensure proper execution of the projects with respect to content, associated resources and timeline.  
In this job, your main tasks will be: 
  • You will maximize the technical value of the imec work toward Partners, coordinates the process of responding to the technical customer needs. 
  • You will identify that customer priorities in Core Programs & customer specific engagements are identified and internally recognized.  
  • You will ensure the proper completion of deliverables by maintaining a clear list of the deliverable owners and timeline according to the project work description and schedule. This will be achieved in agreement with the technical managers.  
  • You will coordinate the participation of imec experts to project meetings and the proper execution of the related tasks, leveraging your technical and management skills. 
  • You will report internally the progress towards the project objectives to senior management, with respect to success criteria, timeline and resources. You will escalate what you cannot resolve with your peers.  
  • You will engage on technical topics with technical champions inside the Partners and their representative, together with the imec R&D and Technical Managers/Directors  
  • Understanding and map the technical strategy of the imec Partners, you will influence the imec organization to support their technical value propositions.  
  • You will constantly collect the voice of customers for continuous improvement and identification of growth opportunities, with focus on the technical aspects, in coordination with the Business Development / Partnership account managers.

Who you are

  • You have experience with managing R&D projects, ideally across multi-functional domains  
  • You are familiar with circuit and system design and architecture for semiconductors 
  • MSc in electrical engineering, physics, material science and related items is preferred. PhD and/or relevant industry experience is a plus
