SoC Architect (imec Germany)

About imec Germany

The automotive industry is at a turning point with advanced chiplet technology paving the way for autonomous driving and connected vehicles. Imec and the State of Baden-Württemberg are establishing a joint project to support the local and international automotive industry in derisking and accelerating the introduction of automotive chiplets into manufacturing.

In our new Advanced Chip Design Accelerator (ACDA) competence center, based at the Innovation Park AI (IPAI) in Heilbronn, we will be pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and accelerating the future of automotive. By leveraging imec’s world-leading expertise in semiconductor technology and packaging, we will be building the chiplet-based solutions that will power the vehicles of tomorrow to be smarter, safer, and more efficient.

What you will do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SoC Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in System-on-Chip (SoC) design, with specific expertise in ARM and RISC-V architectures. As an SoC Architect at imec, you will play a critical role in defining and developing cutting-edge SoC solutions that meet the needs of our diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture design and development of SoC solutions, focusing on ARM and RISC-V architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and system engineers, to define and implement SoC specifications.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and methodologies to optimize performance, power consumption, and area.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical guidance on SoC design and implementation.
  • Ensure the integration of various IP blocks and subsystems into the SoC architecture.
  • Perform design reviews, simulations, and verification to ensure the quality and reliability of the SoC designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SoC design, ARM, and RISC-V technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.

What we do for you

We offer you the opportunity to join one of the world’s premier research centers in nanotechnology in our office in Germany (Heilbronn). With your talent, passion and expertise, you’ll become part of a team that makes the impossible possible. Together, we shape the technology that will determine the society of tomorrow.
