What you will do

As RF IC designer, you will join a team spread focused on the development of innovative mm-wave and sub-THz (circuit) solutions for sensing/telecommunication/testing, in the most advanced CMOS and III-V technologies, including the related radiating elements and antenna-arrays.  

Your role will cover a dynamic mix of tasks: 

  • Development-on-demands 
  • Participation to funded projects 
  • Internal research and students mentoring.  
  • Contribute to scientific dissemination through technical reports, publications, and conference presentations will be another key part of your job at IMEC.

Who you are

We are looking for an enthusiastic open-minded candidate, ready to surf the wave of innovation. The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team is a strict requirement, given the multi-faceted aspects of our activity.  

  • MSc or PhD in Electronics or related fields. 
  • Experience of IC-design for RF ICs in CMOS technologies.  Experience in III-V technologies is a plus. 
  • You are familiar with and have experience in analog integrated circuit design. Comfortable with Cadence design environment. 
  • EM and microwave-engineering background is a plus 
  • Proven ability to analyze and design mm-wave passive structures (e.g. transmission lines, distribution networks, radiating apertures, antenna-arrays, radome, et al.). 
  • Experience with measurement systems (probers, VNAs, mm-wave calibration) is a relevant plus. 
  • Open-minded attitude to learn new skills and expand its expertise boundaries.
