Lab assistant (interim)
Assist in chip preparation, fluidic setup assembly, buffer preparation, and conduct routine measurements
The assignment
- Prepare test chips, including cleaning and pre-treatment steps such as UV/plasma exposure.
- Assemble experimental setups by carefully handling and connecting flow cells, electrodes, and fluidic tubing.
- Perform routine nanopore measurements by operating the equipment and software under supervision, ensuring data quality and conformity with established to protocols.
- Provide general lab support, including maintenance of materials and equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required knowledge and skills
- Education level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field. - Solid knowledge and lab safety practices.
- Practical experience with lab techniques, including proficient use of micropipettes.
- Comfortable performing precise, repetitive tasks and handling fragile components.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently after training.
