Our Fab Engineering department is responsible for various pilot production tools and devices, often first versions, sometimes even prototypes. Our Equipment and Process Engineers intensively collaborate with equipment manufacturers to identify, execute, and evaluate improvement opportunities on our unique pilot production tools. These highly motivated engineers identify preventative actions and assure the correct maintenance and repair of the equipment is guaranteed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Our process engineers maintain the processes, develop backup processes and perform process optimizations.
The ITE team, being part of the Fab Engineering Department (FABENG), is dedicated to ensuring that new tools are installed efficiently and safely, minimizing delays and disruptions. Our approach to safety is both proactive and systematic, reflecting our commitment to excellence and the well-being of everyone in the fab environment.
We work in close partnership with a variety of internal and external groups to ensure the seamless installation of new tools in the fab. From the initial planning stages, we coordinate with tool install engineers, project leads, equipment manufacturers, and facility teams to prepare cleanroom locations, align schedules, and address technical requirements.
We oversee the complete process of tool installations. From its delivery to a working tool. We guide OEM install-teams through each phase of the installation. Our team supports gas- and fore line qualifications by working side-by-side with our contractors.
Maintaining a clean and organized environment is a shared responsibility. Together with our colleague cleanroom users we conduct spot checks and organize clean-ups.
We foster a culture of open communication and shared learning. Feedback from incidents or near-misses is discussed across teams, and lessons learned are used to refine our workflows and drive ongoing improvement.
By working closely with colleagues from across the organization, the ITE team ensures that every installation activity is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest technical standards.
