Test and characterization Engineer – Magnetic Devices

What you will do

• Be responsible for developing robust measurement routines and statistical analysis techniques to deliver insight into the device performance characteristics, in collaboration with subject matter experts/device physicists 
• Be responsible for electrical characterization of memory devices, both at single cell and dense array level.  
• Be responsible for data processing post-measurements, analysis and generation of detailed technical reports. You will also be required to disseminate this information in the relevant technical meetings. 
• Support the development of new test vehicles through design of dedicated test structures to validate new device concepts on new mask tapeouts. This work will cover all aspects of design from conceptualization, DRC checks, post-layout validation, and finally introduction of the new TV to electrical characterization setups. This work will require strong collaboration with other in-house experts. 
• Interact with internal experts and industrial customers in the frame of affiliation programs and/or bilateral projects 
• Be the owner/key technical expert of at least one memory characterization tools in the department

Who you are

• You have a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, applied physics, or a closely related discipline. 
• You have relevant experience (at least 2 years) in 300mm wafer-level electrical characterization and test routines development.  
• You are adept at programming/coding in standard languages (C/C++, Java, Python, Matlab) for developing/adaptation of test scripts, and data post-processing 
• You communicate in a clear, concise and effective way, in both verbal communication and through regular, detailed technical reports. You are persuasive and assertive while keeping a constructive attitude. 
• Given the international character of imec, a high-level of English fluency is necessary. 
• Familiarity with design and layout software such as KLayout, Synopsis, etc is an asset.  
• You are creative, enthusiastic, with a ‘can do’ attitude 
• You are a fast learner, grasping new concepts and skills is something you are passionate about.  
• You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changes based on priorities
