Process Integration Engineer

What you will do

You will work within the Technology Integration & Prototyping (TIP) Department at IMEC as a Process Integration Engineer where you will be at the forefront of semiconductor innovation. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement novel process flows at imec’s 200mm and 300mm wafer facilities.  

  • Your mission as an Integration engineer in the Fluidics Component Integration (FCI) team will be to define the process flows to enable new device functionality for our Imec partners and customers.   
  • You will contribute to driving both imec’s internal explore projects as well as customer development projects.  
  • As a member of FCI integration team, you are responsible for project execution by interacting with your colleagues in design, characterization, process development, metrology and defectivity engineers.  
  • You will be responsible for defining and implementing the process flows and managing development activities with the fabrication facilities.  
  • You will follow-up on the processing of wafer test material, collect and analyze performance data.  
  • You regularly report to the team leader, group manager and program manager or to the customers on progress and results.  
  • You will operate from imec’s HQ at Leuven located close to Brussels in the heart of Europe. 
  • Hybrid working (you are required to be onsite in Leuven on average 3-4 days per week).

Who you are

  • You have obtained a PhD or Master’s degree, preferably combined with some relevant industrial experience (semiconductor process technology and development). 
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or integration. 
  • Experience in integration or device engineering is a major advantage. 
  • You have experience in analyzing and presenting technical results. 
  • You are an enthusiastic team player with project management capabilities. You can complete your tasks in time with minimal supervision. 
  • You have excellent English communication skills.
