The increasing performance demands of AI, HPC, and heterogeneous computing systems are placing unprecedented pressure on power delivery and energy efficiency. As supply voltages continue to scale and current densities increase, innovative power management solutions are becoming essential to unlock future system performance.
You will research and develop advanced power management circuits and power delivery techniques for emerging semiconductor technologies. Your work will focus on integrated power conversion and delivery architectures that can improve efficiency, responsiveness, and power delivery quality in future computing platforms.
You will investigate circuit architectures, control schemes, and integration approaches that enable efficient delivery of power from package level down to individual functional blocks. You will evaluate trade-offs between efficiency, area, transient response, thermal behavior, and manufacturability while exploring the opportunities offered by advanced CMOS technologies, backside power delivery, and heterogeneous integration.
A key aspect of your work will be the design, modelling, simulation, and evaluation of power management circuits using industry-standard IC design methodologies. You will collaborate with experts in technology, device engineering, digital implementation, power delivery, and system architecture to assess how novel power management solutions can improve overall system performance and energy efficiency. You may also contribute to the implementation and tape-out of integrated power management test chips, gaining hands-on experience across the path from circuit concept to silicon evaluation. These demonstrators will help validate research concepts and assess their potential for future technologies and computing systems.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team exploring future computing platforms. You will regularly present research results to industrial partners and contribute to publications, technology assessments, and strategic research directions.
