Amplifying NanoIC’s innovation: strategic communication that reaches industry, academia, and beyond.

EU project lead for Communication and Dissemination

What you will do

The NanoIC pilot line is a major European initiative designed to accelerate innovation in advanced semiconductor technologies in Europe, for which imec raised €2.5 billion. To further strengthen our impact, we are looking for a Communication and Dissemination Project Lead to coordinate all communication, dissemination and outreach activities of the project.

This role sits at the heart of the NanoIC consortium: you lead the consortium-wide communication strategy and ensure that our technological achievements and access opportunities reach the right audiences (industry, academia, EU institutions, and the broader public) while fully complying with EU grant requirements.

You will work cross-functionally with imec’s communication teams (press, digital, marcom, science communications and events teams), with other project modules and NanoIC project lead, and with NanoIC’s European partners. You act both as a communications expert and a communications project lead; planning, coordinating, monitoring, executing, and reporting all communication and dissemination activities.

Your responsibilities

- EU project coordination & compliance

  • Coordinate, plan, and track all communication and dissemination actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with EU grant requirements, branding rules, and dissemination protocols.
  • Manage communication and dissemination deliverables, milestones, KPIs, periodic reports, and inputs for the European Commission.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence of communication and dissemination activities.
  • Align and support communication and dissemination needs from all work packages.

- Consortium-wide communication strategy

  • Develop, maintain and steer the NanoIC communication and dissemination strategy.
  • Build and guard a communication roadmap and content calendar for the full consortium.
  • Ensure coherent messaging and visibility of the NanoIC pilot line across Europe, aligned with imec’s and EU’s broader strategic initiatives (ITF, competence centers, EU Chips Act).

- Cross-team & partner coordination

  • Act as the central point connecting internal imec communications teams (press, digital, marcom, events) with all NanoIC project leads and European partners.
  • Facilitate efficient workflows, legal approvals, and compliance checks for communication and dissemination of the project.
  • Coordinate with Europractice, workshop organizers, and other internal and external stakeholders.

- Operational communication activities

  • Oversee, guard quality and manage timings of multichannel communication outputs and execute communication and dissemination needs of the project in close collaboration with the comms team: website content, social media, newsletters, press activities, event and trade show visibility, and outreach materials.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for steering committees, program reviews, and consortium meetings.
  • Track and optimize efficient dissemination processes across teams.

- Team & resource management

  • Manage communication and dissemination budget, resources, and planning.
