What you will do

Attracting and retaining world-wide top talent, is what drives you to define the optimal total reward mix for imec’s research and operational staff. This way you pro-actively contribute to the irresistible workplace strategy of imec.

Your internal customers are imec teams situated in Leuven (HQ) and sites in Belgium, the Netherlands and the US, and you will define and manage both corporate policies/processes and local solutions for them. All total reward domains and operations are under your guidance: from impat management to executive remuneration. You will act both as designer and hands-on team-member in the day-to-day reward management: you set up and/or manage compensation reviews, benchmarking, job grading and benefits management. You interact with other HR teams, management teams, and external providers. You also manage the cost side and look for optimal management, budgeting and reporting of the imec workforce cost, together with the CFO department.

Who you are

  • Our ideal candidate has a master’s degree and at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in all aspects of compensation and benefits, plus a good knowledge of Belgian tax and social security legislation.
  • Your passion for numbers, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality are key in this role.
  • As a team player, you are eager to share your knowledge and to contribute to the shared ambitions of the HR team.
  • You can bring your cases to diverse audiences; you feel comfortable communicating in a multi-cultural environment.
  • You are passionate about bringing the employee experience to the next level.
  • Your English communication skills are excellent, being able to work in Dutch is a plus.
