Student project: Ultra high impedance voltage amplifier
Develop and build an multi channel amplifier with an input impedance in
the terra ohm region for ISE (ion selective electrode) elector chemical
measurements
What you will do
- Gather requirements from stakeholders like lab users for the
amplifier use cases
- Design (schematics and layout), build (or order) and test an
amplifier circuit
- Verify and document the design
- Expand the design with a multiplexer, precision ADC and
optionally a microcontroller and galvanic isolation
- Optionally design an enclosure (3D printers are available)
Most important feature is a high input impedance to accurately
measure the open voltage of a sensor with a high internal impedance.
Furthermore it should contain 4 or 5 amplifier channels and a multiplexer to
combine the outputs of these channels either to a connector for an external
voltmeter or an ADC integrated in the design itself.
What we do for you
In this internship you will have the opportunity to contribute to
innovative research and be an important member of our multidisciplinary
development team. We have an electronics lab, chemical lab and a mechanical
workshop to support you. And you can learn a lot from the colleagues, and we
can learn from you.
Who you are
- A Bachelor student (HBO or WO) in electronics engineering or a
related field
- Electronics knowledge, both analogue and digital (interfaces,
actuate and sensing)
- Very hands-on, soldering experience is a pre
- Programming experience is a pre
- Pro-active, outreaching mindset and eager to learn
- Enjoying working in a team
- Available for 6 months
