What you will do

  •  Define and suggest experimental design for validation of experiments from bench-top to qPCR quantification.
  •  Run optimization tests on qPCR benchtop equipment.
  •  Assist the transfer of optimization settings for validation protocol on-chip.
  •  Collaborate in validation experiments in on-chip qPCR.
  •  Keep an organized track record of experiments and results.
  •  Explore new ways of improving the results achieved.

What we do for you

Short description of the team:
You would be working in a highly multidisciplinary team with multiple levels of education and backgrounds. You would be closely working with a Molecular Biologist experienced in analytical chemistry, a researcher in food and bioprocess engineering, along with specialists in biosensing, microfluidics, sensor technology, etc.

Challenges:
In order to achieve a successful validation in new biotechnology equipment (from benchtop to on-chip qPCR), a strong analytical thinking and persistency are key. Also, understanding the results from the experiments and testing new experimental strategies will result in a robust and effective transfer from benchtop to on-chip qPCR.

Who you are

You hold a bachelor’s in analytical chemistry, molecular biology, biomedicine, bioengineering or similar fields. You strive in a laboratory work environment (biochemistry). You understand the value of research and development and you are hungry to learn innovative techniques and technologies. Experience with PCR is much appreciated. Other experiences with molecular biology techniques, statistics, design of experiments, DNA extraction, and DNA analysis are a plus.
