We are looking for an experienced R&D Scientist or R&D Engineer to join our team in Leuven, to support the development of a radically innovative testing solution for airborne infectious diseases, such as SARS-CoV-2. You will be working on the engineering heart of the virus detection system: the development of a novel PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) instrument and breath sampler. You will help design, build and test and lab setups and concepts and scientifically analyze the results. Together with internal and external developers, you will evolve the concepts into new iterations, to test new ideas or verify the latest designs. You will assist in the verification of the product prototypes, plus analyze and report the results. You will report to the system engineering lead to accomplish tasks that are instrumental to the success of this project.
