R&D Engineer High-NA EUV research Lab

What you will do

As R&D Engineer, you will offer technical support to a team of 3 Project Engineers that support customers in defining their experimental plans and track the progress of the experiments. This includes occasional work in the cleanroom. If needed, you will start in 2022 with a few months of training at imec Leuven and will complete your training at ASML Veldhoven (NL). From 2023 until 2025, you will work together with a team of 4 imec colleagues in the lab at ASML Veldhoven, and the ASML demo team. You will spend part of your time at ASML VHV, but will also support from imec Leuven, or, from home office when possible. After 2025, you can continue your career at imec Leuven.

You will work together closely with colleagues who define and track experiments in the lab at ASML Veldhoven. You answer the technical questions of the Project engineers. You are a bridge to the technical knowledge at imec and ASML, that will help improve the quality of the experiments. You analyse shortcomings and errors, look for solutions and help implement the solutions in a constructive way. You are a real team player, After your training, you are sufficiently familiar with state-of-the-art computerized equipment to evaluate if the equipment works correctly and if they are being used correctly. Accuracy and quality are important requirements in this high-tech environment.

Who you are

• Master, in engineering or scientific area.
• You can work on your own; you are flexible and proactive;
• You have interest, or experience, in process development in a high tech cleanroom.
• Expertise in lithography is a plus.
• You are willing to work be based in Belgium and to travel regularly (with overnight stays) to the ASML cleanroom in Veldhoven, The Netherlands, for about 2 years, afterwards, you will work in our cleanroom and offices in imec Leuven.
• You work accurately and have attention to detail;
• You are an excellent project planner;
• You are experienced in working with external customers;
• You are a fluent communicator and team player. Good knowledge of English
