Process Assistant(shifts)

What you will do

Imec leads the way in developing new technologies and technology platforms to enable novel devices, systems, and applications. With scaling of CMOS technologies increasing complexity, photonics, fluidics, wafer-stacking, heterogenous integration become more and more important.
Our Integration Support Engineering (ISE) team enables the process integration for Derivative Technologies (DT) and Specialty Components Development (SCD) departments.

Our team supports the integration community to tune imec technology to the demands of the customer. We provide support to develop the processing flows that span from explorative research, proof of concept, prototyping up to low-volume manufacturing.
Within this role, you are exposed to advanced semiconductors technologies that are used in applications like CMOS Imagers, GaN Power, Lifescience, Photonics and other types of Integrated Circuits (ICs).   

• You are a R&D process assistant in the ISE team. Your focus is in supporting process quality and integration.
• Your tasks span from lab processing to inspections and metrology steps.
• Your responsibilities include follow-up and reporting on lot progress, processing on clean room/lab equipment, process flow set up.
• You work in close collaboration with integration engineers and process step experts to define the best possible process sequences and approaches.
• You ensure good communication and interaction with other process assistants and process engineers.
• For this position we will require to work in shifts, alternating early/late with one weekend per month.

Who you are

• Professional Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, or equivalent experience
• Accurate, focused to deliver results meeting specific targets and deadlines
• Work in organised and timely manner
• Team player, enthusiastic, eager to learn, sense of urgency
• Good communication and reporting skills, team spirit and initiative
• Since your job consists of a variety of activities, depending on the needs of imec, a flexible attitude towards your tasks is required
• Preferably, experience in clean room/laboratory
• Due to international nature of IMEC, good communication skills in English are necessary
