Process Specialist Bonding & Assembly

What you will do

As a process specialist you will be a member of the fab engineering team. This team is responsible for in-line processes and tools which are used in CMORE (Life science, MEMS, actuators, sensors ...) and Core (3D, Logic, Memory...). 

You are responsible for providing process solutions, ensuring smooth tool operations and strengthening the team with your in-depth understanding of the processes. You work in a dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment in close cooperation with researchers, process and hardware engineers, operations, industry assignees, device and process experts.  

As Bonding & Assembly Process Specialist you work in shifts (early/late).

Who you are

• You have more than 5 years of experience in backend-of-the-line assembly and semiconductor field 
• MS degree or PhD in engineering is required 
• You generate new approaches to develop critical processes and drive development of new methods. You are an out-of-the-box thinker and have sound knowledge of various characterization techniques  
• You can work autonomously with good hands-on skills in a clean room environment, well organized, with good attention to details and set high standards for quality.  
• You have a broad background on wafer fabrication or assembly processes, you provide technical guidance to the team to resolve technical and operational roadblocks. 
• You are involved in strategic discussions with tool suppliers/customers for Continuous Improvement Programs (Cost / Throughput / Quality, etc..) 
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and evaluate them effectively and come up with appropriate solutions. 
• You lead meetings, escalations and work with cross disciplined technical teams.  
• Given the international character of imec, fluency in English is a must. 
• You are an enthusiastic and motivated team player with good communication and reporting skills.
