Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with relevant experience in design and characterization of MEMS.
Proven experience in general measurement methodologies and tools (e.g., waveform generator, oscilloscope, lock-in amplifier, impedance analyzer, source measure unit, ...), and ideally more advanced equipment such as laser Doppler vibrometer, white light interferometer, vector network analyzer, , ...
Proficient in
writing code or routines using Matlab or Python;
conceptual system design and system testing.
Additional assets include:
Project leading;
Ultrasound simulation experience (e.g., Field II or k-wave);
Ultrasound characterization experience (e.g., hydrophone, microphone, Verasonics system);
General understanding of microfabrication techniques.
The imec environment requires a good team player with competent communication and reporting skills.
Given the international character of imec, a good knowledge of English is mandatory.
