FAB project & production lead

Research & development - Leuven | More than two weeks ago

As a FAB project & production lead you will have a central role in running production in the FAB effectively and efficiently yourself and from an improvement project lead role by transitioning to and continuously improving our new MES.

FAB project & production lead

What you will do

  • You will combine the role of FAB MES Project Lead and the role of Line Coordinator, running FAB’s yourself.
  • In your primary role of MES Project Lead, you will translate business needs to operational MES requirements, together with a team of delegates from different departments. In this team you act as the FAB representative and make sure that formulated requirements enable our fabs to work more efficiently, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • To that end, you interact with many people throughout the organization to understand their use-cases and way of working. This network includes both representatives from Engineering and Operations in the FAB unit, and Integration engineers and scientists from the R&D units.
  • You collaborate closely with the ICT department to define the new MES requirements: confirming designs, defining acceptance criteria and test scenarios. You help prioritize the requirements and supply input and priorities for projects and issues that the FAB needs their help for.
  • You will handle the project timeline and report on progress.
  • You will guide the organization in using the new MES effectively and efficiently as a change leader.
  • In your secondary role of Line Coordinator, you control the pilot lines and follow up the lots as they move through the Fab. You make sure high priority lots get proper attention and notify the correct people when action is needed. You collaborate closely with the Engineering teams to minimize the impact of planned and unplanned tool-downtime. In case of problems, you determine action plans, and you report to the internal customers on a daily basis.
  • This role is taken up about one week out of 7 and includes weekend work.
