Across a broad set of domains, from automotive to life sciences, imec is known for developing entirely new chip and sensor technologies, in close collaboration with key industry partners and other stakeholders. Be it from brain implants to advanced lidar enabling the future generations of self-driving cars, these technologies help generate entirely new or much better kinds of data. To make sense of this data and to improve upon our sensor and chip roadmaps, the role of AI is becoming important. Be it to accelerate their development or to explore and define the role of AI on edge or on chip.
For further development of these AI activities and roadmaps, we are looking for a senior AI researcher who facilitates and leads research projects involving the use of AI across a broad range of projects. This includes the growing role of AI in the hardware/software codesign of new sensor- and chip-technologies as well as exploring relevant insights and AI models resulting from the data generated by them. More specifically we are looking to apply and advance the state-of-the art of Sensor Digital Twins and their use in these projects.
