Creating sustainable solutions for OnePlanet
In 2050 we are expected to live with 10 billion people on this planet. How can we make our food production and supply sustainable to stop depleting the planet of its resources? Are we able to tackle diseases early on and keep ourselves and the planet healthy for the future to come? Truth be told, we need groundbreaking sustainable technologies to deal with these challenges for the planet and humanity. The OnePlanet Research Center is a collaboration of imec the Netherlands, Radboud University, Radboud UMC and Wageningen University & Research. Together we are working on innovative solutions to face these challenges. To do this, we need a Corporate and Stakeholder Communications Specialist to spread our mission.

What you will do

You will manage external and internal communications for OnePlanet Research Center in the Netherlands. You will closely collaborate with the communications departments of the founding organizations. You will report to the Managing Director of OnePlanet Research Center, whilst also functionally reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager of imec the Netherlands. Your job includes amongst others:

• Execute, monitor, and optimize the communications strategy to support the objectives of OnePlanet Research Center towards local government (i.e., province), SMEs and large companies in the Netherlands, educational community, healthcare, agri-food sector (network organizations), and society.
• Execute, monitor, and optimize the internal communications strategy.
• Create and adapt content and media planning.
• Connect and network with media in close collaboration with the press managers of the founding organizations. Respond to local media inquiries, determine the right spokesperson, and organize press interviews.
• Disseminate content via online and offline communication channels. Keep track of the newest developments in (social media) communications.
• Closely collaborate with the communication departments of the founding organizations.
• Ensure co-branding of OnePlanet Research Center while building on and supporting the brands of the founding organizations.
• You are supported by a communications officer for the execution of the communication strategy.

Who you are

• You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in Communications or equivalent.
• You have 10 or more years of experience in communications, (digital) marketing, or equivalent.
• You have an extensive background in stakeholder communications.
• Networking is in your DNA.
• You have strong verbal communication skills.
• You love to work cross-functional within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• You are a self-starter and an enterprising person who enjoys working in an all-round position on multiple projects simultaneously.
• You have a hands-on approach while also thinking strategically.
• You are experienced in creating content for different audiences, purposes, and formats. Online communication and marketing are in your blood, and you give substance to SEO, social media, etc.
• Because of the strong health, agriculture, and technical environment you can translate technical content to online/offline communication in an independent manner.
• Similar experience in either a health, agriculture, or technical environment is essential.
• You are experienced in organizing events.
• You have profound project management skills with strong attention to detail, documentation, and accuracy.
• You easily establish contacts, are cooperative, and feel at home at all levels of an organization.
• You write and speak fluently in Dutch and English and know how to translate your messages to different target groups.
