Creating sustainable solutions for OnePlanet
In 2050 we are expected to live with 10 billion people on this planet. How can we make our food production and supply sustainable to stop depleting the planet of her resources? Are we able to tackle diseases early on and keep ourselves and the planet healthy for the future to come? Truth be told, we need groundbreaking sustainable technologies to deal with these challenges for the planet and humanity. The OnePlanet Research Center is a collaboration of imec the Netherlands, Radboud University, Radboud UMC and Wageningen University & Research. Together we are working on innovative solutions to face these challenges. We need a Communications Officer to execute the communications strategy in close collaboration with the Communications Specialist.

What you will do

In this role you will support the execution of the external and internal communications plan for OnePlanet Research Center in the Netherlands. You will report to the Communications Specialist of OnePlanet Research Center. The tasks include amongst others:

• You execute the communications plans via OnePlanet’s external and internal communication channels and instruments such as website, social media, mailings, flyers, videos, newsletters, imec teams (imec’s internal communications platform).
• You organize events targeting the different stakeholders of OnePlanet as well as internal events. You are responsible for budget management, practical organization, and aftercare.
• You coordinate and follow up with suppliers or agencies for specific communication projects where outsourcing is required.
• You coordinate the development of communication materials.
• You determine the optimal timing and channels for communication (via publications/website/mailings/social, …).
• You ensure that communication is always compliant with the co-branding guidelines of OnePlanet Research Center.

Who you are

• Bachelor in Communications or equivalent.
• You are creative and hands-on. Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or other Adobe software is a plus.
• You are a self-starter and an enterprising person who enjoys working in an all-round position on multiple projects simultaneously.
• You are assertive and perform well under pressure.
• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• You write fluently in Dutch and English and know how to translate your messages to different target groups.
• You are diplomatic and easily make contacts.
