Communications Officer (0,5 / 0,6 fte)

What you will do

We are looking for a Communications Officer to execute the communications strategy in close collaboration with the Communications Specialist. In this role you will support the execution of the internal and external communication plans. You will report to the Communications Manager of imec the Netherlands and will be based in Wageningen. 

Your responsibilities as a Communications Officer include:

• Execute the communications plans via OnePlanet’s external and internal communication channels and instruments such as website, social media, mailings, flyers, videos, newsletters, imec teams (imec’s internal communications platform).
• Determine the optimal timing and channels for communication (via publications/website/mailings/social etc).
• Coordinate and follow up with suppliers or agencies for specific communication projects where outsourcing is required.
• Organize events targeting the different stakeholders of OnePlanet as well as internal events. You are responsible for budget management, practical organization, and aftercare.
• Streamline the development of communication materials.
• Ensure that communication is always compliant with the co-branding guidelines of OnePlanet Research Center and Corporate imec.

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in communications or equivalent.
• Able to write fluently in Dutch and English and know how to translate your messages to different target groups.
• A creative and hands-on young professional. Knowledge of tools like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or other Adobe software is a plus.
• Having strong digital skills (Teams, SharePoint and Social Media).
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• You are a self-starter and an enterprising person who enjoys working in an all-round position on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Being assertive and performing well under pressure.
• You are diplomatic and easily make contacts.
