Clinical Operations Coordinator (Consultant)

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Operations Coordinator to join our team in Leuven, to support the development of a radically innovative testing solution for airborne infectious diseases, such as SARS-CoV-2. You will plan the operational activities of the clinical studies with the products and prototypes, including supplies, stock, assembly, logistics and more. You are a jack-of-all trades, stepping in to perform minor hands-on tasks yourself at one moment, while planning extensive operations the next. Further responsibilities include reporting on the activities and flagging issues well in advance.
This position will work in a team and you will work closely with the project manager to accomplish tasks that are instrumental to the success of this project.

Clinical Operations Coordinator
The assignment
- Interact with all team members to ensure you have all the information you need to plan the activities.
- Maintain a clear overview of ongoing activities, local and international, including shipments, burn rates and supply buffers.
- Identify and mitigate issues, such as late or missing supplies, assembly errors and changes in the planning.
- Be ready to report on the status of the project at all times.
Required knowledge and skills
- 5+ years’ of experience in planning and coordinating complex operations.
- Experience with the operational aspects of clinical studies is a strong bonus.
- Experience with the assembly of medical products is a strong bonus.
- Both hands-on mentality and planning capabilities are required.
- A team player with excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
- Immediate availability to come and work at the Imec facilities in Leuven is a strong bonus.
- Driving license and car are a strong bonus.
