Business Development Manager ASIC Services

What you will do

Imec is the largest independent semiconductor R&D facility within Europe. Within the Imec organization, imec.ic-link is a division offering ASIC services to academia and industrial customers such as start-up’s, scale-ups and larger companies. Our customers are the innovators of the semiconductor industry and are looking for state of the art solutions to realize their disruptive ideas. Imec.ic-link is offering to these customers specialized services in the field of ASIC development and mass production, backed by the world’s largest semiconductor foundries and imec’s top notch research. 

To optimally support our growing customer base, we are looking for a Business Development Manager ASIC Services. 

  • You will manage and extend the collaboration with a large portfolio of existing customers, both academic and industrial. Those customers are primarily in Europe and their needs are in the field of prototyping, wafer manufacturing, assembly, test and supply chain. 
  • You will prospect for new customers within imec.ic-links focus of expertise. 
  • You will have first level technical discussions with customers and translate these towards the technical team and finally negotiate and finalize a relevant commercial offer. 
  • You will act as the facilitator and negotiator for solving (technical or non-technical) problems during any project as quickly as possible. 
  • You will represent imec at external fairs and exhibitions where design houses, subcontractors, universities, chip foundries and customers meet one another.  
  • You will be working in an experienced and multidisciplinary team

Who you are

  • You have minimum 5 years of experience in business development. 
  • You are a fluent communicator, customer-oriented and diplomatic.  
  • You are a team player, love innovation and are willing to learn 
  • You can adequately judge problem situations and opportunities, recognize priorities and act accordingly in a flexible manner. 
  • You are fluent in English and German.
  • Ideally, you have a network within the automotive and/or industrials OEM sector in Germany
  • You have a master’s degree, with adequate knowledge in the design and fabrication of integrated circuits. 
  • Experience in selling ASICs is a plus.
