Assistant ASIC Test Engineer (temporary assignment via interim)

The assignment

• The candidate will perform calibration and electrical testing of fragile probes in saline solution with custom made software in a lab environment (handling of sensitive mechanical and electronic equipment and liquids).
• The candidate will perform microscopic inspection and optical verification of probes before and after assembly.
• The candidate will prepare shipments to packaging company and customers, and do tracking and logging of probe history (barcode, database).
• He-she will safely handle and store wafers with fragile neural probes.
• He-she will help in continuous optimization of the workflow to increase efficiency and yield.

Required knowledge and skills

• The candidate must have a bachelor or master’s degree in science or engineering;
• Experience with lab equipment and wet lab environment is a must;
• Knowledge of Matlab is a plus; Fine handling skills to handle fragile probes is a must;
• Experience with handling chemicals and sensitive mechanical components is preferred.

Additionally

• The candidate must have a punctual, organized and scientific mindset;
• Experience with wafer processing, system engineering and PCBs is desirable;
• Fluent in English (verbal and written);
• Flexible and able to work autonomously but also in a team.

Duration of the assignment

• Minimum 6 months
• Extension of the assignment is possible

• Fulltime (5 days/week, 40 hours)
