The main valorisation focus of the OptiMMA project is in respect with the Middleware design technology developed by IMEC, UGent, UAntwerpen, VUB and KUL. This page descripes the dissemination strategy and the economic and/or social utilization potential in Flanders
The economic actors in Flanders, which can absorb the research products of the OptiMMA project, are numerous. They are comprised of both SMEs and big companies. What they all have in common, is that their products and services are related to the domain of Embedded Systems. At the project initiation, 15 companies have been contacted and agreed to participate in the OptiMMA User group: Alcatel-Lucent, Barco Silex, CoWare, DSP Valley, Easics, Essensium, Exys, ICOS, Lysitech, NXP, Mind Embedded Development, Philips Tass, OneAccess/Telindus, Thomson Silicon Components and Traficon.
The advantages and expected results of the OptiMMA design technology to the Flemish companies are:
-To standardize the Metadata format and the Metadata interfaces (APIs) -To patent the Middleware components that will be produced in the OptiMMA project Also, the OptiMMA partners will consider (on a per case basis) to open source implementations of specific Middleware components or APIs, in order to promote the wider usage and bigger penetration of the Middleware design technology.
• Dissemination in Flanders through DSP Valley • Four workshops (2 public, 2 for User group) • Integration of results in Curriculum (Universities) and Industrial Training (Imec) • Publications and communication like brochures, posters, press releases, conference papers, journal papers, etc. • Presentations at conferences, workshops, seminars and demonstrations
More information on the dissemination approach will available at the Public workshops and Usergroup meetings
