The CleanC Analysis Tools are provided free of charge (see the installation instructions to find out how to install the plug-in in your Eclipse environment).


This product includes Xerces (subject to the Apache Software Foundation license), ANTLR 2.7.7 (subject to the ANTLR license) and ZVTM (subject to the ZVTM license). All of these licenses are packaged in the binary distribution.


The software is distributed under the following end-under license agreement.



END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT  v. 1.0


THIS IS A BINDING LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU (AS A LICENSEE) AND IMEC (AS A LICENSOR) REGARDING THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE ACCOMPANYING THIS AGREEMENT.


BY CLICKING “I AGREE”, DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, COPYING OR USING THE SOFTWARE ACCOMPANYING THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE SOFTWARE IS SUBJECT TO COPYRIGHT PROTECTION AND YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH HEREIN.


IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH HEREIN, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, COPY OR USE THE SOFTWARE ACCOMPANYING THIS AGREEMENT IN ANY WAY.


IMEC refers to Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum vzw, Register of Legal Entities Leuven VAT BE 0425.260.668, with its registered office at Kapeldreef 75, 3001 Leuven, Belgium.


  1. YOU refers to you as a person or legal entity.


  3. AGREEMENT refers to this license agreement.


  5. SOFTWARE refers to the software accompanying this AGREEMENT, made available to YOU either through online transmission or otherwise.


OWNERSHIP - The SOFTWARE is the copyrighted work of IMEC, which retains all title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the SOFTWARE. By means of this AGREEMENT, no rights or licenses in or to the SOFTWARE are granted to YOU, except for the license set forth below.


LICENSE GRANT - IMEC grants to YOU, subject to the terms and conditions set forth by this AGREEMENT, a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to install one (1) copy of the SOFTWARE on one (1) computer (such as a workstation, terminal or other device) and to display and use the SOFTWARE for the sole purpose of analyzing C-code for its compliance with a set of guidelines incorporated into the SOFTWARE.


The license set forth above is granted to YOU free of charge and for the duration of this AGREEMENT.


Given the nature and purpose of the SOFTWARE, YOU understand and agree that the license set forth above is granted to YOU for non-consumer use only.


RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS - YOU are NOT ALLOWED to use the SOFTWARE in any way which is not explicitly set forth above.


YOU are NOT ALLOWED to translate, decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, adapt or modify the SOFTWARE, to derive any source code from the SOFTWARE or to create any derivative work based on the SOFTWARE.


YOU are NOT ALLOWED to sell, offer to sell, lease, rent, license or distribute the SOFTWARE in any way or any form to any other person or legal entity or to exploit the SOFTWARE for any commercial purpose.


YOU are NOT ALLOWED to host the SOFTWARE or to provide access to the SOFTWARE to any other person or legal entity via a network or a remote connection.


The rights granted to YOU under this AGREEMENT may not be assigned, transferred or licensed to any other person or legal entity without IMEC’s prior written consent.


NO WARRANTY – THE SOFTWARE IS LICENSED YOU “AS IS” WITHOUT IMEC MAKING ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR THE ABSENCE OF INFRINGEMENT ON ANY THIRD PARTY PATENT OR OTHER PROPRIETARY RIGHT.


UPDATES UPGRADES AND PATCHES – The SOFTWARE is made available to YOU “AS IS”, without YOU being entitled to any updates, upgrades or patches under this AGREEMENT. Any update, upgrade or patch shall be provided at IMEC’s sole discretion.


Before downloading, installing, copying or using any update, upgrade or patch, YOU must obtain a separate license from IMEC governing the use of such update, upgrade or patch and YOU understand that the right to download, install, copy or use such update, upgrade or patch may be subject to terms and conditions which differ from the terms and conditions set forth in this AGREEMENT.


ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT - The SOFTWARE is made available to YOU “AS IS”, without YOU being entitled to any assistance or support by IMEC under this AGREEMENT. Any assistance or support by IMEC shall be provided at IMEC’s sole discretion.


Any assistance or support provided to YOU by IMEC in relation to the SOFTWARE shall be subject to the terms and conditions set forth by a separate agreement between YOU and IMEC or by IMEC’s standard terms and conditions applicable at such time. In the absence thereof, any assistance or support provided to YOU by IMEC in relation to the SOFTWARE, shall be provided “AS IS” and shall be subject to the “NO LIABILITY” provisions set forth below.


NO LIABILITY - IMEC DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, UNLESS SUCH DAMAGES ARE CAUSED AS A RESULT OF WILLFUL ACT OF IMEC OR ITS EMPLOYEES.


IMEC ALSO DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS AGREEMENT, BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORTUOUS CONDUCT OR OTHERWISE, UNLESS SUCH DAMAGES ARE CAUSED AS A RESULT OF WILLFUL ACT OF IMEC OR ITS EMPLOYEES.


TERM AND TERMINATION – This AGREEMENT enters into force upon YOU clicking “I Agree”, downloading, copying or installing the SOFTWARE and shall remain in full force and effect until its termination in accordance with the provisions set forth below.


YOU may terminate this AGREEMENT at any time, provided that YOU stop using the SOFTWARE, that YOU delete the installed SOFTWARE and that YOU destroy any copy of the SOFTWARE in YOUR possession.


IMEC may terminate this AGREEMENT forthwith upon any substantial breach by YOU of the terms and conditions set forth herein.


GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION – This AGREEMENT shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Belgian law. All disputes between YOU and IMEC in connection to this Agreement shall be submitted to the courts of Brussels, Belgium.


MISCELLANEOUS – This AGREEMENT represents the entire understanding and agreement between YOU and IMEC and supersedes all prior communications, agreements and understandings relating to the subject matter hereof. 


The partial or complete invalidity of any of the clauses or provisions set forth by this AGREEMENT will not result in the invalidity of the AGREEMENT itself.


YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT AND THAT YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH HEREIN BY CLICKING “I AGREE”, DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, COPYING OR USING THE SOFTWARE.
